A few weeks ago Room 12 got EXTRA homework! Our homework was to make our own pepeha. A pepeha is a picture or a sheet that you have to sign, the things on the sheet would ask you what your culture, name, Mum and Dad's name and stuff like that.The pepeha that we did for our homework was the sheet of paper. When we brought them back a few people didn't bring them back. I wasn't one of them.
Mrs Melville ( I'm pretty sure you should know that she is my teacher! ) checked them and finally got to do the picture art!
The most important thing was the maunga! ( mountain )
The second most important thing was the Ra. ( sun ) Then the awa. ( river ) So on.
I thought I should do a few animals to represent how I like them.
I found this activity tricky because sometimes it would be hard to smudge.
